wordfunph: "The Batumi Olympiad was going quite well for the Indian team until the fateful round match-up against Armenia, which we lost, essentially putting us out of the contention ... though at the time it still wasn't clear and we felt there was a fighting chance to make it! Our coach mentioned that our standings could have been better if only we had a striker. I looked at him in surprise and told him, 'We do have a striker! He has just been playing solid for the sake of the team!' To which he replied, 'Why don't you prove it?' and I said to myself, 'Fine by me!

I decided to return to my faithful KID g3 Nbd7 system and I told my team in advance not to look at my board."

- GM Baskaran Adhiban (this game was played after his team lost against Armenia)
