Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-06-16  Gregor Fenrir: I can't understand why Rapport blundered with 17...Ng6??
Sep-06-16  whiteshark: <Gregor Fenrir> He probably missed/underestimated 19.Qf1 Qxg6 20.e5! Qxc2 [] 21.Qf7+ Kd8 22.Qd7#.

What alternatives did black have on 17... ?

Sep-06-16  Shams: God love Rapport for trying to breathe life into this musty old warhorse of a defense. Alas, as happens several times a year with him he ends up looking like a simul victim.
Sep-06-16  Gregor Fenrir: <whiteshark> I would play 17...c6 to pressure overextended white pawns and to develop black queen to b6 or a5.
Sep-06-16  dehanne: Steinitz' Nightmare.
Sep-07-16  dumbgai: What a disaster of a game for someone rated 2750.
Sep-07-16  Pyrandus: Nightmare?
Oct-05-16  Xeroxx: <Nightmare?>
