  fredthebear: You don't see this everyday... Black meets a promotion check by White's new queen with a rook interposition which also gives discovered check and allows Black to promote next.

Interesting middlegame defense by Black as well. It's something of a rolling fortress anchored by the dark-squared bishop. It can be dangerous for Black to have disconnected rooks with the White queen still aboard, but Black maintains protection with advancement.

The opening transposes to a Leningrad Dutch. Writer GM Valeri Beim often used this approach; the Pirc Defense was in his repertoire should White respond 2.e4.
