mifralu: < In the St. Paul Dispatch of last Saturday appear two games credited to Minneapolis players with J. P. Capablanca, neither of which, the players themselves admit, were ever played. In the Elliott game, two moves credited to Capablanca are those that the score of the game shows were the plays of his opponent. The game itself was not a specially good one, but it is exasperating for players to find games nover played credited to them. >

MissScarlett: I saw that notice recently, but the <Saint Paul Dispatch> isn't available in online archives, so can't be readily checked.

But the score here appeared as early as the <New-York Daily Tribune> of February 2nd, p.5, so I doubt there's a problem at this end.

Jan-04-19  Ychromosome: Black’s queenside rook never contributed to the game.
