Kibitzer's Corner
Jun-05-15  TheFocus: Capablanca blunders and loses quickly.

Of course, Black mates if 29.Qxa2.

Nov-22-15  TheFocus: From a simultaneous exhibition in Brooklyn, New York on November 13, 1915.

Capablanca scored +28=1-1.

Oct-16-19  N.O.F. NAJDORF: This game reminds me of Capablanca's disastrous opening game of his 1927 match, in which he broke his own rule about the coordination of the pieces.

22 Nc3 breaks that rule by removing the contact between White's rooks.

Oct-16-19  N.O.F. NAJDORF: And to make matters worse, the back-rank mate specialist missed a back-rank mate trick in both games.
Oct-16-19  N.O.F. NAJDORF: I've just seen the finish that prompted Capa to resign:

30 Rc1 Qe3,
