 | | agb2002: White has a bishop and a knight for the bishop pair and two pawns. Black threatens exd4.
The position looks ready for the typical piece sacrifice on b5, 18.Ndb5. For example, 18... axb5 19.Nxb5 Qb8 20.Nd6+ Ke7 21.fxe5 Bxe5 22.Rxf7+ Kd8 23.Nxb7+ Ke8 24.Qh5 wins. |

Dec-29-19 | | Patriot: <<jith1207> <Chris Owen> is trying to communicate with this world in last few days.
Alas, those who are fortunate enough to be called seem to have him in ignore list to notice and respond.> I don't know why anyone would write like that for 9/10 years! A friend suggested he may be sipping his food thru a straw (in the case of some medical condition) but even then...why?? I don't have time to decipher his code but I will tell you this...around 2009 he was writing normal sentences on here. If he is doing that on purpose, what a horrible waste of time! |
Dec-29-19 | | Patriot: <21...Nd7> I wouldn't be too concerned about a move like that as white is regaining material and maintaining an attack. Calculating beyond that seems a waste of time. However once you reach the position after <24.Nxf7 Kxf7 25.Bh5+>, it's interesting there is no good reply: <25...Ke7 26.Qxg7#> <25...Kg8 26.Rxf6> <25...Kf8 26.Qg6 Qc7 27.Qe8#> <24.Nxf7> is a nice move! I suppose <24...Rg8 25.Nxh6 gxh6 26.Rxf6+ Ke7 27.Qe5 or 27.Qh4>. Or <24...Rh7 25.Qg6 Ke7 26.Rxf6 gxf6 27.Qxh7>. |
Dec-29-19 | | jith1207: <Patriot>: yes, Chris Owen used to write proper English, though it may have had some non native identity. But until very recently, didn't respond or call other posters which seems to have changed. There were lot of proposals on the condition, like speech to text gone wrong, automated code to populate randomly formed words which I think it probably is. That wouldn't be a waste of time. But paying lifetime premium membership for these posts might be. However, it is refreshing to see hand written individual posts of late. |
Dec-30-19 | | jith1207: <20MovesAhead>: name checks out. But, not sure about the 27.Qb8 when Black has rook in a8?! Anyway, there seems to be an early mate in your line 25. Qxg8+ Bf8 26. Qf7+ Kd8 27. Qxf8# |
Dec-30-19 | | Patriot: <jith1207> If it is speech to text gone wrong, it makes you wonder why he keeps doing it...literally for years. Automated code...as in a bot? That would be a logical conclusion since nothing else seems to make sense. It would have to be advanced enough to use actual analysis and phrases relating to it embedded in the sea of words because there is a connection there. I don't know...I think it's deliberate gibberish so either he sees it as an eternal joke or is endlessly amused by it. It's the craziest thing I've ever seen. |

Dec-30-19 | | Patriot: <jith1207> But garbage or not, as long as he is a paying customer then who cares what is posted? Personally I wouldn't allow it if I were admin. Enough is enough. |
