Kibitzer's Corner
Oct-01-14  Karpova: 8...g5 is a nice move and the annotator awards it <!!>.

15...b6 may have been a mistake and 15...Bg7 advisable to cover e5. But White misses the chance 16.Ne5.

The annotator notes that 21...Rd7 only appears to be insufficient, losing the ♙g4, while actually being an ingenious trap. The move was indeed weak, not because of the ♙g4, but 22.Nxf7 (22...Rxf7 23.Qxe6+).

23.Rxd4 was the losing mistake, but 25...Rxh3+ was probably hard to see in such a short game. 23.Rxh5 appears to be quite good.

Dec-04-15  docbenway: Looks like 13...kte3 could be answered by 14.bd3 trapping the kt whether it takes on g2 check or not.
