Jul-22-14  SimonWebbsTiger: Smerdon dropped by the commentator room and gave some entertaining post-game remarks. He said e.g. he is the strongest player in the World to play this line for Black because it isn't really any good!

  perfidious: Re Smerdon's post-game comments: I well remember when this enjoyed some popularity for Black and actually tried 1....d5 a few times myself, though the one game featuring the Portuguese (3....Bg4) was nowhere near as amusing as this.
