takebackok: Simple forced combo sets up easy Monday, 29. Rxc6 Rxc6 30. Rxd7+ with three to one pawn majority queen side just need to get the king into the center and some more easy moves for gg.
May-12-25  mel gibson: That was an easy choice.

Stockfish 17 says:

29. Rxc6

(29. Rxc6 (1.Rxc6 Rxc6 2.Rxd7+ Kf6 3.Ra7 h5 4.a3 g5 5.Kg1 g4 6.Kf1 gxh3 7.gxh3 Ke5 8.Ke2 h4 9.Ra8 Kf4 10.Rh8 Ke5 11.Ke3 Kd5 12.Rxh4 Rc8 13.Rh5+ Kc6 14.Kxe4 Kb5 ) +5.31/39 328)

score for White +5.31 depth 39.

NMABQjmgChess: Seemed straightforward as others have already pointed out. Usually, trading a rook for two minor pieces is a profitable exchange. That is the case here.
May-12-25  King.Arthur.Brazil: The king suppose that W best line is: 29. Rxc6 Rxc6 30. Rxd7+ Kf8 31. Rb7 a5 32. a3 h6 33. Rb6 Rc8 34. Rxe6 axb4 35. axb4...
May-12-25  Mayankk: Black Rook is overloaded and it is time to relieve it of the heavy burden. 29 Rxc6 Rxc6 30 Rxd7+. It doesn't seem much in terms of material superiority though. But then we notice that Black e4 pawn is about to fall and once White King grabs the centre, White's Queenside pawn majority should win early. .

e.g. 30 ... Kf6 31 Kg3 h6 32 Kf4 g5+ 33 Kxe4 h5 34 Kd4 h4 35 Kc4, followed by 36 a4 37 b5 etc when the pawn storm on Queenside will settle matters.

May-12-25  saturn2: Two pieces defend the Nd7. But after 29. Rxc6 Rxc6 no piece does anymore. and the white qieensidepawns are strong in the rookendgame.
May-12-25  cocker: A generous resignation in my league.
May-12-25  TheaN: Not a traditional Monday in the sense of a forced winning combination with a clear cut ending, but it doesn't matter here. White takes out the defender of d7 with <29.Rxc6 Rxc6 30.Rxd7+> and balances material a pawn up.

Due to the terrible position of the Black rook as result, <30....Kf6 31.Kg3 +-> is fairly straightforward: the Black king is overloaded protecting the center and the king side, the rook's a bystander. All rook endgames are supposedly drawn, this one really isn't.

May-12-25  stacase: Take the Bishop and then the Knight ==> Clear advantage.

  knaugle: There seems to be several winning ideas at move 31. Stockfish also likes +5.26 (31 ply) 31, Rd6 Rxd6 32. cxd6 Kf7 33. Kg3 e5 34. Kg4 g6 35. Kg5 Ke6 I like that it forces a winning K+P endgame quickly.
