Jul-11-16  sneaky pete: <Stonehenge> The game was agreed drawn because of "the advanced hour", according to "the contemporary reporter", writes Willem Andriessen in Schaakbulletin 153, August 1980. That unidentified reporter is probably Timme, author of <Prof. A. Anderssen uit Breslau in Nederland, eene herinnering op Schaakgebied, uit de Maand Julij 1861>, published in 1861 by Johannes G. Andriessen, Wijk bij Duurstede.

Andriessen (Willem) believes offering the draw was an act of kindness by Van 't Kruijs and gives the line 41.Nxg4 hxg4 42.Qxg4 ..
