fredthebear: Charles Diebert was an aggressive queen pawn player who wrote a chess booklet. This game definitely shows his urgent fighting spirit.

RadioBoy: Ah yes, my glory days. I had him busted in the Columbus City Championship. Unfortunately however, I only had about a minute on my clock and missed a mate threat followed by picking up his queen by discovered check the next move. No small accomplishment for a 1900. But indicative of why I stayed a 1900. The pamphlet is 'The Blackmar Diebert Gambit'. Check out Diebert/Boe.
