Jan-21-14 | | SirRuthless: Not sure what is wrong with Nakamura but he deserves to lose for his trash play and escape acts in this event. Now -1 through 7 rounds. Congrats to van wely who played nearly all the top engine suggestions in the middlegame. |

Jan-21-14 | | Shams: <Sir Ruthless> <Not sure what is wrong with Nakamura but he deserves to lose for his trash play and escape acts in this event. Now -1 through 7 rounds.> Not this again. You're not supposed to let people this far in your head who you don't even know. -1 through seven rounds, the horror. I suppose if it were up to you, tournaments would only invite players who would have plus scores? |

 | | perfidious: <Shams> When I cited the snippet by <Marmot> above, <Ruthless> was the yahoo who certainly came to mind. Not, of course, that he will likely read this...... |

Jan-21-14
 | | perfidious: <SirWorthless....Congrats to van wely who played nearly all the top engine suggestions in the middlegame.> What, another arrogant turd who thinks this constitutes prima facie evidence of cheating? |
Jan-21-14 | | Marmot PFL: <<SirWorthless....Congrats to van wely who played nearly all the top engine suggestions in the middlegame.> Guess what, so did Krishna today. Must be a conspiracy... |
Jan-21-14
 | | perfidious: This should all be moved to the Borislav Ivanov page...ha ha ha!!! |
Jan-21-14 | | SirRuthless: And your problem is? I commended him on his play . Did you watch the interview wan wely joked about it himself when the interviewer brought that exact quote up.. I am fully aware that top players are capable of playing 15 or 20 top engine moves in a row in the middlegame all by their lonesome. Jeez. Here it is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZPX... |

 | | perfidious: <SirRuthless.....I don't like the vermin who come from the woodwork when a player loses a game or is struggling in general....> Ever hear the one 'bout the pot 'n the kettle, Mr Vermin? From Harikrishna vs Nakamura, 2014 : <Wow Naka can't see anything in this event. Still probably should be -4 at this point. -2 through 8/11 isn't the end of the world.> Tata Steel (2014) <Nakamura blunders. The Radjabov style collapse is ON! He better pull out of zurich and take a vacation NOW. Give them time to call someone else.> Tata Steel (2014) <He will commit suicide after zurich if he goes there in this form. This chess is disgusting.> <....These people couldn't hold a GM jock if their life depended on it.> This is, generally speaking, correct, but you would hardly be one to know. |
Jan-21-14 | | Shams: <perfidious> Someone's gonna need the aloe vera after that one. |
Jan-21-14 | | haydn20: <Shams...-1 through seven rounds, the horror. I suppose if it were up to you, tournaments would only invite players who would have plus scores?> LOL. I now get many math students who in high school all got all A's in math and who can't do enough algebra to pass Calc 1. That's a lot like a round-robin where everyone is +2: you gotta fudge the scores. |
Jan-21-14 | | schweigzwang: Oh, do you get this too? "(1/a) + (1/b) = 1/(a+b)"
GRRRRRRRRRRRR |
Jan-21-14 | | Shams: <schweigzwang> That equation is very close to being true, though...just turn that plus sign 45° to the right, and presto! |
Jan-21-14
 | | Domdaniel: <Shams> *Both* of the plus signs, of course: giving us ... 1/ab = 1/(axb) |
Jan-21-14 | | nok: Rule #1: everything's linear. |
Jan-21-14
 | | Domdaniel: Now that I think of it, doesn't 45° to the *left* also work? Where 45° = pi/4. |
Jan-21-14 | | Shams: <Dom> Yes, thanks. Both of them. :) |
Jan-22-14 | | haydn20: < schweigzwang: Oh, do you get this too? "(1/a) + (1/b) = 1/(a+b)" GRRRRRRRRRRRR> BTW this is true iff a = bw where w is one of the complex cube roots of 1 and ab is not zero. I do get (a+b)^2 = a^2 + b^2. And I second your GRRR... |

Jan-22-14 | | MarkFinan: <Shams: <Sir Ruthless> <Not sure what is wrong with Nakamura but he deserves to lose for his trash play and escape acts in this event. Now -1 through 7 rounds.>
Not this again. <<You're not supposed to let people this far in your head who you don't even know.> LOL 😃 |
Jan-22-14 | | SirRuthless: I'm not trolling player pages like you troll So's page so I am not seeing a point here. There is no comparison to complaining about a player performance and trolling his player page trying to rile up his fans like you are doing on Wesley So page. Shams and perfidious, who by the way I put on ignore and is still referencing me for some strange reason, is off base here. |
Jan-23-14
 | | Domdaniel: <SirRuthless> Excuse me, are you really saying that you have both <Shams> and <perfidious> on your ignore list? These are two of the smartest and most interesting members that CG has, in my opinion.
You may think you know better. But you're mistaken. |
Jan-23-14
 | | perfidious: <Dom> That is water off this duck's back. |
Jul-09-14 | | ChessYouGood: <haydn20: 6. g4 and 8. h4 are perfectly compatible with this Sicilian line. If you don't press on the Kside as White, you will get crushed on the Qside.> Yes, I'm sure Nakamura was thinking exactly the same thing when he got crushed here. As I said, great to see Van Wely show why g4 and h4 are premature bad moves and pointless, ineffective aggression of the sort we have come to expect from this guy. |

Oct-07-14 | | ColeTrane: "Knocking out Naka" |

Mar-12-18
 | | piltdown man: Misunderestimated the opponent. As Dubya would say. |
Mar-12-18 | | hkannan2000: 51...Qg2+ 52. Kxh4 g5+ 53. Qxg5 Qh2# works out a pretty mate or loss of Queen. Of course it is easy to look into such positions at leisure and comment but getting such positions against GMs is another thing. |
