perfidious: Mamedyarov's 28....Nxb2 is a clever method of gaining the bishop pair in an open position and reducing White's bishop on g5 to the status of looker-on.
Aug-31-13  caspita: Well, I don't see the point. The first game was in an Open and the second in a Rapid Tournement. In the later, Kurnosov played well and it was an equal game. Surely that the time took presence in the last part of the game. Kurnosov was a pawn ahead against the pair of bishops, but, in my modest opinion, maybe he could've held the position from the 40th (Nf3-d4), without moving the King, maybe trying the line with 40.b4 and, finally, not moving the King in 42. I think it was a fine game.
