  master8ch: This game should've ended on move 15, after Black's major blunder. I guess a three-time state chess champ like Henin couldn't stand the thought of losing so quickly.

  SteinitzLives: I have heard of players at even the GM level playing on, not because they think they have any chances, but to avoid a much more likely to be publicized miniature. Sadly this one really could not get past the 25 move line of mini death.

  perfidious: A classic example of that was Fischer vs Reshevsky, 1958, while in another vein, Nunn vs Kiril D Georgiev, 1988 was truncated by some magazines of the day after White's tenth move.
