Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-28-10  crosschained: after 48.Qe6+ he didn't follow it up with more checks and a likely mate to follow... or perpetual check at the very least. Obviously Rd7+ would've won. Instead played 49.Rxb2??... just makes no sense whatsoever. Garry must have been in the worst time-trouble.

AylerKupp: Mate in at most 2 is forced after 49.Rd7+
a. 49...Kf8 50.Qf7#
b. 49...Kh8 50.Qf6+ Kg8 51.Qg7#
c. 49...Kh6 50.Qh3+ Kg5 51.Qh4#
I can't imagine what kind of time trouble Garry could have been in that he failed to see a mate in 2 yet managed to make 11 more moves before (presumably) resigning.
