As <JimNorCal> points out, 47...Bxc5 is answered by 48.Rg8+ and 49.f8Q(+), winning the bishop. 47...Rxc5 leaves the 7th rank, allowing 48.e7 Bxe7 49.Rg8+ and 50.f8Q(+), when the remaining f-pawn will be enough to win.

As for 47...Re7, well, what else? Neither king nor bishop can move, and 47...g5 just allows a line similar to the game.
