Jan-09-10  hellopolgar: finally a win by moro! go moro!
Jan-11-10  Dr. Funkenstein: whoah, I thought this was supposed to be a double edged line. White's attack never gets going and Moro just pours it on from there.
Jan-11-10  chillowack: What a mess! Typical of Morozevich's crazy style.

I always find it amusing when material ends up even like this: it's a kind of evidence that White's winning of material didn't really mean anything in the end.

An Englishman: Good Evening: Felt fine after 1.e4. At the end of the game? Splitting headache. Thank you very much, Mr. Morozevich.

The game title is Italian for "our thing" (I think) and other name for the Mafia. However, can't figure out why it became the title of today's game.

sleepyirv: Perhaps a play off the Sicilian defense?

Opens up a whole new world for punning if you can use any mafia term for great Sicilian games.

Jan-09-25  Cecco: <sleepyirv>, not just for Sicilian games. You can make puns with lots of nice stereotypes about Italians in general, English, Russians, French, Spanish etc. How cool. I can't wait.
Jan-09-25  Cecco: Great idea. Fabiano Caruana has Sicilian parents. Let's make mafia puns for his games.

Teyss: Impressive attack on the Qside while White wasn't doing much on the Kside. I've never been a fan of castling long on a Sicilian, too sharp.

Cosa Nostra is the <Sicilian> mafia (as opposed to e.g. the Camorra) and it's a <Team> Championship, that's apparently the only two elements for the pun. Don't know if "La" has a hidden meaning or if it's just here for decoration.

21...Nxc2: I'm gonna make him an offer he can't refuse.
24...Ndc4: Leave the gun, take the cannoli.
34...Nxa3: He sleeps with the fishes.

Jan-09-25  Cecco: <MissScarlett>. I should have expected a worthy response from you to my sarcasm.
