May-28-10  Ychromosome: If 70.Kxg8 then e3 and white will Queen or win the rook for a pawn.

FSR: Hook's biggest scalp. Surprised that the game doesn't have more comments.

OhioChessFan: Strong game by Black and textbook conversion of an extra Pawn. I still can't figure out why White played 46. Kh6 instead of Kf6. I don't know if it ultimately mattered, but a centralized King had to be better.

I think you mean 46.Kh4 rather than 46.Kf4. I think White wanted to avoid 46.Kf4 Rc4, but I agree with you that the cure was worse than the disease. White could have continued 47.Ke3, and if 47...Rc3+ 48.Kf2 (or maybe 48.Kf4 again) Rxa3 49.Rxb5.

Nov-12-12  Xeroxx: Ra2 looks weird.

<Xeroxx>,
Liberzon didn't want to waste a tempo with 9.♕d1, so this awkward move is the only other way to defend the c2-pawn.
