Jun-04-09  LaFreak IV: omg..
Jun-04-09  310metaltrader: He should have resigned!
Jun-04-09  timhortons: should specify that B amins transwarp/rybka opponent in this game is running under rybka 3.

The one that Nakamura had beatin is running under rybka 2.

This transwarp is a computer account running under rybka 3 software and the same that nakamura had beatin but under different chess software.

Jun-04-09  Riverbeast: Wow, it's not often you see a human player beat a strong computer in this kind of attacking, tactical slugfest.

Still, for 'style points', he should have pulled a Nakamura and promoted to a bunch of knights or bishops at the end! :-)

Jun-04-09  timhortons: right and this is a 15 minute game with 5 minute increment.

its not a joke to beat rybka 3 in that time control.

the rest of the guys there that beat rybka did it at blitz/3 minute time control.

Had not naka aspiring to beat rybka he already surpass magnus carlsen and grischuk rating at icc but naka is tossing hundreds of elo rating to rybka always and ended up gettin beatin by rybka 3 software.

Naka will beat the humans and all the rating he gather rybka takes it.

Jun-04-09  timhortons: The longer you give transwarp time to think the bigger chances you have to get beatin thats why i say that its easier for the GM's to beat transwarp aka rybka3 in 3 minute time control that in longer time control.
Jun-04-09  Brown: Who's B-Amin?

Jun-04-09  timhortons:

Chess blog dedicated to transwarp.

A chess computer account at ICC running under rybka 3 software.

Jun-04-09  blacksburg: impressive.
Jun-06-09  Raisin Death Ray: This game brings to mind the 1968 Ohio State - Michigan game. The Buckeyes made a 2-point conversion in the final seconds to make the score 50-14. Supposedly, when Woody Hayes was asked why he went for two, he responded, "Because they wouldn't let us go for three!"
Jun-10-09  smaragdus: Is this a real game?! If so, it is one of the most idiotic ones I have ever seen. I have never seen FOUR QUEENS of same colour on the board! What an imbecile this computer must be not to resign after 40 moves.
Jun-10-09  WhiteRook48: I once achieved three queens of the same color on the board and won, but four queens? Maybe the comp was hoping for stalemate
Jun-26-09  Zkid: timhortons, isn't black supposed to have a king?
Jun-26-09  Eisenheim: go human, but this was a poorly played computer game
Jun-26-09  Jim Bartle: "Supposedly, when Woody Hayes was asked why he went for two, he responded, "Because they wouldn't let us go for three!" "

Then he punched the nearest Michigan player.
