Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-23-08  Xeroxx: Is 14... Ba6 better than kramniks Bb7?
Nov-24-08  Alphastar: <Xeroxx> Bb7 was Anand's move. 14. ..Ba6 is the usual move, Bb7 was a novelty by Anand in the world championship match with kramnik earlier this year. I'd say 14. ..Bb7 is a promising pawn sacrifice, however the older 14. ..Ba6 also gives black good play.

van Wely probably suspected his opponent had prepared the 14 ..Bb7 line and opted for the older Ba6.

Nov-24-08  Xeroxx: <<<<<<<<<<Bb7 was Anand's move>>>>>>>>>>> Haha yes Anand of course ooops! :(
Jan-07-09  jamesmaskell: Nicely discussed on youtube by <kingscrusher>.
Jul-14-25  Darksquare1: what happens if in move #15 white decides to take the pawn? ( 15.axb4)
Jul-14-25  Darksquare1: Sorry I mean move #16.
