This looks like an excerpt from that crazy video "Pieces Gone Wild!". :-)

Nov-07-08  KingG: I don't think it's such a good idea to enter this variation of the Philidor against Shirov of all people.

Jul-18-09  totololo: Shirov g4 gambit is reminicent of the Keres attack in the Sicilian. The basic idea : keep the black King in the center for good attack.

I wonder how good is his new DVD on the Philidor...
I prefer independent work... I may be very wrong....

Jul-18-09  kurtrichards: Fire in board.
Jul-18-09  whiteshark: You know your opening knowledge is outdated if Shiov has made a DVD on a move you've never seen before. Just like me. :D
Jul-15-10  hellopolgar: well Lukasz's record is 3 losses with 2 draws when he plays the philidor defense...

Oct-04-11  Xeroxx: <Shirov g4 gambit is reminicent of the Keres attack>

Keres attack isn't a gambit.

Oct-04-11  whiteshark: A <Shirov g4 gambit> could easily be mistaken for a delayed Grob.
Jul-15-15  FairyPromotion: Dismantling a Cyborg.
