Ron: Studying how Karpov plays against the Dutch Defense, I came across this fairly recent game. It seems that Black played the opening inaccurately which Karpov was alert to exploit. It seems that Black resigned after 22. Qe6+ for 23. Nd5 seems strong.
Oct-01-09  ajile: The line I've seen is 8..Ne5.

8..Na5 seems awkward.

Aug-24-11  jrofrano: 8. ... Na5 is legit, nakamura plays it. Recently against aronian to a quick draw. The positional sacrifice starting with nxc4 doesn't seem to hold much water...and karpov demonstrates simply that black doesn't have adequate compensation after simplifying the position and trading off a few minors. A nice concise game.
