Nov-04-09  jackdaw1: After 6...Qb6 7.dxc5 the position reaches a main line in the Jackal Attack.

As analysed in the Jackal Attack ebook - on 8...Bxf2 9.Qxf2 Qxb2 10.Kd2 Qxa1 11.Bb5 Qxh1 12.Qc5, White has the better of a sharp position.

Black's 9th move is not the best: Better was either 9.Ndxe5 or 9.Bxf2 - both of which win Black a pawn but allow White attacking possibilities and very definite compensation.

Also quite good for White is 12.Qe1. As in the case of 12 Qe3, it is then a question of finding a way to open the position in order to free up the bishop pair - though this is not by any means an easy thing to achieve. Probably, White will have to make preparations for the pawn advance c2-c4 at some point.

Black's 13th move is suspect: He really needed to chase the g5 bishop off the h4-d8 diagonal. After White's follow-up [h5] the bishop will remain a threat to Black's king. It is now too dangerous to castle.

By the 21st move all of White's pieces can quickly collaborate in an attack on the enemy king's position.

The end comes quickly.
