Mar-20-08  percyblakeney: Anand isn't bad at blindfold chess, and has won the blindfold section of Amber four times, but look at this and the previous games between him and Morozevich:

Morozevich vs Anand, 2003

Anand vs Morozevich, 2004

Anand vs Morozevich, 2005

Anand vs Morozevich, 2006

Morozevich vs Anand, 2007

That's a total of five wins and one draw for Morozevich, and maybe the draw from 2005 is the best game of them all...

Mar-20-08  GMNick: Whoa! Anand was whipped by Moro again!
Mar-20-08  EXIDE: Does any player lose because of an illegal move ? It is amazing that they can play without looking at the board.
Mar-20-08  chessmoron: They have a board on the screen of their laptops. Just the pieces are missing.
Mar-20-08  malthrope: <EXIDE: Does any player lose because of an illegal move ? It is amazing that they can play without looking at the board.>

<EXIDE> - I just answered your question ['illegal move') here - Amber Tournament (Blindfold) (2008) - (on page -26-) in reply to others asking the very same question! :)

A very impressive Blindfold chess game by the great Moro! Now, if only he can add some points on his Rapids scoreboard! ;) - Mal

PS: Thanks <percyblakeney> ! :) Yes that 'draw' was just incrediable! ;) [ Anand vs Morozevich, 2005 ]

White has an overwhelming 7(!)-piece attack againt an <UNCASTLED KING> in exchange for a mere pawn. Now *that* is what I call compensation.

Sep-13-08  whiteshark: So, where are the improvements in this one? Maybe <16...Bg7>?
