Yes, Svidler (White) missed that the Black d6-rook was <PINNED> against the <LOOSE> e7-square next to the <STALEMATED> Black d8-king.

In order to meet the threat to the <LOOSE> e7-square the Black d6-rook must either stay on d6 to <BLOCK> the diagonal a3-f8 or move to e6 to <BLOCK> the e-file/<DEFEND> e7, but under no circumstances can the Black d6-rook move to the f6-square. From the f6-square, the Black d6-rook would not meet the threat to the <LOOSE> e7-square by either <BLOCKING> or <DEFENDIN>.

sakredkow: Very instructive(for me): White's initial defense to Black's pressure on the c-pawn after 11...Nxd4. White can't keep the balance with 16. Qxc2 Rxc2 17. exd5 because of Rxc1!, Rxc1 and Bxh6. Instead after 16. Qf3 Svidler was just all over this with an attack and pressure down the efile. I wonder if it was a rapid game?

The position through 10. a4 has also been reached the via the Najdorf: 5...a6 6.g3 Nc6 7.Bg2 Bd7 8.O-O e6 9.Nce2 Rc8 10.a4.
