Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-24-07  Karpova: The <Almanach> gives the end of the game as 47...Kf5 48.Kb3 Kg4 0-1 but Donaldson/Minev are sure that Rubinstein played 47...b5 or else 48.Kb3 wouldn't have made sense when it was possible to play 48.Ka4 (not that hard to see a move).

And Alan Savage points out that 49...Ke4 is more likely because the games is easily won afterwards while 49...Kg4 leads to a complicated (though still favorable for black) Q+P ending (and why should white have resigned then and not fought on..).

That's why I submitted the game with the suggested game score.

Apr-23-11  bolek88: Kuczynski is good player, I must say.
Akiba had big problems in opening.

Probably Kuczynski should play earlier Rc4. With draw chance.

Apr-25-11  tonsillolith: 29...c4!
