Kibitzer's Corner
Sep-02-22  tonsillolith: Whatever positional compensation White gets after >25...Qxb2> is difficult for me to grasp. Two knights to the bishop pair and two pawns. Though it's quite an interesting victory of knights vs bishops on an open board, and I can see White's central control pat dividends over the next several moves.

In particular after <29. Rd7> it is a pleasing configuration with White double-guarding each knight firmly in the heart of Black's camp.

From a high level perspective it appears White uses the central control to tie Black down to the kingside defense, while he regains his pawns.

<44...Bf8> must be a blunder, losing the exchange. Then Carlsen's relentless pressure is the rest of the story.
