Jun-01-07  Knight13: And I thought White could've won when I saw the position after move 35 but then White gives up the b-pawn. What's wrong with 37. Re3 ?
Jun-01-07  Prugno: <Knight13> I believe that after 36... Rb2 it would have been too dangerous to allow the f5 rook to come back into the game. For instance, 37. Re3 Rg5 38. g4 (forced) 38... e4! followed by 39... Rc5 and penetration to c2 or c1, with White's King stuck on the back rank.

Hence 37. Re4, to stop e5-e4. Kasim keeps proving he is an amazingly resourceful player.

<42...h6!!> An incredible study-like idea [...]. So far, I have failed to refute it and find a win for White, but probably our readers would be more successful?" (B. Gelfand)
