fredthebear: 38.Be8! is the key to White's initiative, arranging a clearance sacrifice. Black can't play 38...RxBe8 because of 39.Rd7 pinning the Black queen to her king. After the shuffling of Bishops, White wins two pawns and creates a passer and remains active. It seems 39...Rg7 had to be played instead, but the White queen has that square covered on the long diagonal.
