  plang: In Almasi-Kurajica 2002 BLED Olympiad Black had tried 11..c5 and White had gone on to win; 11..b4 was new. He may have underestimated, however, 13 d5!. 14..bxc 15 exf+..Ke7 16 Re1 would also have given White a winning advantage. If 23..Qe4 then 24 Rb3+..Ka7 25 Rd7! and wins. 24..Qc6 25 Rb3+..Ka7 26 Rxc3..Qb5 27 Rxvc7+..Ka8 28 Rc5..Qa4 29 Rd8+! is another winning line. 43..Rxb1 44 Qc8+ mates. Black resigned due to 44..Ka7 45 Qc7+..Ka8 46 Qd8+..Rb8 47 c7.

A very nice sacrificial attack - voted the 7th best game in Informant 88. In the early 2000s Sutovsky played a number of attacking games of this quality.
