  bright1: Instead of c2-c4 on White's 25th move, he could have played Bd5. For example:

25. Bd5 Rxd5, 26. Nf7+ Bxf7, 27. Qf8+ Bg8, 28. Qf6#

or

25. Bd5 Qxb2, 26. Bxg8 Qg7, 27. Qxh7+ Qxh7, 28. Bxh7 and the threat of Bxg6 and Nf7+ winning the rook on d8 give White a winning game.
