Kibitzer's Corner
Nov-08-06  YouRang: Interesting how effective white's simple rook pin is at the end of the game. Black's rook and bishop are tied up, and black can do nothing to avoid dropping the bishop once the knight goes to d7.

  al wazir: 31. Rc1, threatening 32. Rc8 also wins. If 31...Bxb7 then 32. Rb1. If 31...Be6 then 32. Rc8+ Bxc8 33. bxc8=R+ Rxc8 34. Nxc8.
Nov-08-06  Tenderfoot: So I'm betting 33...Be5 didn't work out quite the way Black saw it in his head.
Nov-08-06  sfm: c4-c5 is too good a move when black can't reply -,d5 so maybe 11.-,Qe7 instead.
Nov-08-06  Morten: Amazing how white controls the board with so little material left. Black's pieces don't have room to manoeuvre to defend against that little pawn that originally came from a2. Once black takes the pawn he is lost.

playground player: Wonder how many games are decided by a knight fork at the psychological moment?
Nov-08-06  kevin86: Even without the quandry that the black bishop and rook are in,black's game is hopelessly lost. He is down three passed pawns (or two,if you define a doubled passed pawn as one).

A cuter pun would have been:"Mite makes Wright"

Nov-08-06  Joshua01: Although the central pawns are unstoppable, did
34. .... Kg8
35. Nxe5 Re8
hold the piece?

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know: pointless.

Nov-08-06  CapablancaFan: "The Wright Stuff" I thought also was a good pun.
Nov-08-06  lvlaple: Wow is White ever toying with Black here.
Nov-08-06  Gameoverziggy: I thought is would more be along the lines of the Leningrad or Anglo Duth not an English
