Nov-02-06  Petrocephalon: Thank you Chessgames for uploading this.

The source is Daniel King's Test Your Chess (2004), an excellent book. Confusingly, he wrote an earlier book by the same title in 1993, which was equally good.

First, there is an interesting tactical sequence in the opening from moves 12..Nxe4 to 17..Rd2, which had to be carefully calculated.

Then after things seem to have calmed down, a beautiful attack is initiated with 20..h5. White defends imaginatively, but ultimately succumbs.

Jan-02-18  Delboy:, could we have magnificent games like this as GOTD rather than some of the weak fare or repeats we have been served recently. No pun? Surely someone can improve on "Hang the DJ"

fredthebear: 27.Rd5!? Interference prevents Black from promoting the h-pawn, a necessary evil.
