Kibitzer's Corner
Aug-18-08  Gilmoy: 26.Nd5 is a clever theme -- it's a special case of a <deflection sac>, whose sole purpose is to lure Black's Be6 onto d5, where it can be captured. Perhaps we could call it a <flytrap sac>? A <come-hither>? <Fatal attraction>?

Once Black loses the Bg8 defense, White's K-side penetration is winning: 30..Kf7 31.Qxg7+ Ke8 32.Qg8+ Kd7 33.cxd5 two pawns up, with threats of Rxb7+, Bf8, and Rfc1.

Aug-18-08  AnalyzeThis: 21. Nxb4 was a real surprise to me, you would have expected 21. axb4 followed by b5. I think black should have played 21... Nxb4 right away.
Aug-18-08  ravel5184: Third!
Aug-18-08  lies: why not 18. ... f5 ?
Aug-18-08  Octal: Is this a Reversed Benoni?
Aug-18-08  Chess Addict: f5 losses the pawn on e5.

kevin86: BTW,anyone else notice that today's two winners:Arno Nickel and Aron Nimzowitsch have unusual first names that are anagrams to each other?
Aug-18-08  drpoundsign: how about "nickel and dimed to death?"
Feb-07-09  WhiteRook48: he had a lack of class
Feb-23-09  WhiteRook48: Nickel certainly does not have a lack of Class.
Feb-24-09  WhiteRook48: Black, however, has lack of Class
May-27-12  computer chess guy: Better was .. g6 a move earlier (22 .. g6).
