Kibitzer's Corner
Aug-02-06  Dozy: Lovely tactical game. Black's king must have been on the verge of a nervous breakdown.

fredthebear: No checkmate in the latter stages.

If 17...g6 then 18.Bxg6 robs the pinned h-pawn, so the Black King decides to take flight to the queenside. Apparently, no forced checkmate is available for the remainder of the scoresheet (26 ply).

19.BxNc5 is another case of the bishop robbing the pinned d-pawn.

The offer 24...NxNe5 is inviting, but 25.Qb3+ would wreak havoc upon Black. Thus, 24...Nd4 covering b3 is played instead.

In the final position, the game might have continued 26...Rb8 27.Na5, etc. lasting awhile w/White having the upper hand.

Apr-25-21  goodevans: I plugged the name Gyula Sax into my pun evaluation engine PEE 5.0. I didn't even bother with the other guy or any other factors of the game. After the first minute today's pun was ranked about 800th but since then it's dropped out of the top 1000.
Apr-25-21  Brenin: Shocking pun, great game.

OhioChessFan: Not a great pun, but serviceable. I'm surprised it hasn't been used before. Nice tactical game by Sax.
Apr-25-21  Cheapo by the Dozen: Horrible pun, even as single-name puns go.

But very fine choice of game.

Breunor: Worstplayerever, Stockfish agrees with your move order on 23 through 27, evaluates it as 1.21 for white.
Apr-25-21  WorstPlayerEver: <Breunor>

It's not my move order, I usually analyze with Stockfish.

That said, I always question moves and look for alternatives. So now I have a headache :P

Apr-25-21  WorstPlayerEver: PS now wait, it actually was my move order! Then I checked with SF. Pretty straightforward.
Apr-26-21  RandomVisitor: 15...b4 followed by Nxd3 was black's last chance...
