Honza Cervenka: Lasker sacrificed a Knight for two Pawns and attack against the King in the centre. White erred decisively in quite complex position playing 23.Kc2? After correct 23.h3! (attacking Bishop g4 which pins white knight f3) 23...bxc4 (23...Bxf3+?! 24.gxf3! ) 24.hxg4 Qe7 (24...Qxg4 25.Qxc4 ) 25.Nxc4 white is out of troubles threatening Rh1 with strong counter-attack. Black has nothing better than 25...Nc3+ 26.Bxc3 Rxc3 27.Qe1 Bf4 28.Qxe7 Rxe7 with endgame where white has two minor pieces against a Rook.

Of course, 25.Bxc3 is not good for fork 25...Ne3+.

Aug-02-22  SymphonicKnight: This is a difficult game to understand even with an engine, as Lasker has many complex decisions to take in the attack, and is fighting a piece down after a perplexing speculative sacrifice.
