Kibitzer's Corner
Aug-29-08  sallom89: All in attack..reminds me of poker somehow.
Aug-29-08  newzild: What's so durn great about this game?

Aug-29-08  kellmano: White's play against g7 is about as subtle as a sledgehammer. I like it.
Aug-29-08  Katu: It is interesting to see 4 rook moves in a line by White - in a game that White wins. I usually attack this was, but rare whe I win :)
Aug-29-08  YetAnotherAmateur: I see 2 moves for black that I think did in his game: 24. ... Be4
This just wasted valuable time, with the sole purpose (as far as I can see) of preventing the mostly harmless Re6.

25. ... Kh8
Again, wasting time, and if anything making black's situation worse by preventing g6.

31. ... Rg6
If black had played Bxf7, he might have gotten himself a difficult but playable endgame (bishop and rook vs queen and an extra pawn).

  kevin86: I'll raise you

no! I'll raise you!

I'll raise you again!

I fold:(

I guess that's what <sallom89> means-lol

The parry and thrust make this a worthy candidate of gotd. White's g2 turned out to be less vunerable than black's g7.

Aug-29-08  Whitehat1963: Guess it was safe, after all!
