Nov-20-06  sneaky pete: Brilliant annotations. 15.Qxd7+ .. <and Black loses material>. He's a queen down already and will be mated in 2 moves, but who cares?
Oct-26-07  Jesspatrick: Losses like this cannot be good for book sales!

This game causes me to doubt the validity of 7...gxf6 as a defense. Apparently Black has nothing better than to continue 7...Qxf6 and allow 8.Bb5+ c3 9.0-0!? cxb5 10.Ne5 with all kinds of complications.

Mar-31-09  GreenArrow: just in tim
Mar-31-09  whiteshark: Just for fun.

Eric Schiller: I suppose I could just post my wins, but I find some of my losses are instructive and entertaining, so why not?
Mar-31-09  whiteshark: If in a certain position a move is simple the best move, it might derserve a <!>. Just like <8.d5!>

(Well, maybe I should check some 2,000 of my own annotations first, for being consistent to it, before suggesting s.th. of the like.) :D

Mar-31-09  whiteshark: Something is wrong with the annotation after <11...Ne5>:

<11...♗xc3 12.♕xc3 ♘e5 [12...exd5 13.♖he1+] 13.dxe6 with 14.♖xd5 is ∞.> as there is nothing to take for the rook on d5.

Btw, <11...Bxc3> would objectively deserve a <?> at least. I think it's worse than <11...Ne5>.

Mar-31-09  WhiteRook48: 14...Kf8 is better, even though it drops a piece

louispaulsen88888888: This is why I’ll just transpose to the French. I find my opponents are not well prepared for it and usually just play a flaky line in response to it. Trading a BDG for the French is not what any machine would choose. But it’s a good practical human choice.
May-12-21  Granny O Doul: Not only has Black lost material, but look at that pawn structure!
