Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-17-07  refutor: 13.Nf5 was a recommendation of Tal.

In "My Life and Games" in the notes to Tal vs Gligoric, 1963 he mentioned that he thought about 40 minutes before playing 13.a3, saying "I very much wanted to play a move like 13.Nf5 but only succeeded in convincing myself that there was a reason why this sacrifice had not been played before". It gives a messy position if nothing else

Mar-17-07  BarneyRubble123: Is this really a draw at the end? I was surprised.
Jul-16-07  Chessmensch: Watson analyzes this game through move 30 in volume I of his books, "Mastering the Chess Openings," page 196.
Apr-28-11  raskerino: Watson only gives it a precursory glance though, sadly. If black plays 14... Qd8! 15.Qc3 0-0 I'm not sure white has anything. I couldn't find anything with a computer when I looked at this a while ago, and my unassisted look now gives something like 16.exf5 Bb7 17.Bg2 (does f6 work?) Bxd5 18.Bxd5 Rc8 19.Qf3/g3 Qc7 and black looks to unravel fairly easily. Any significant improvements for white?
