Kibitzer's Corner
Oct-11-05  PaulLovric: the despondent king hunt
Mar-06-06  Eatman: Ouch! White realized too late, that after Rxe2 Kf1, there is no wait to avoid mate either by Rg1 or hxg2 on Rxg2.
May-23-06  crptone: This is even funnier than all of the other king hunts gone wrong! White continuously checks black's king down the board, not realizing that his own king in the corner is in big trouble.
Dec-26-06  melv: Tarrasch used his rooks much more effectively than Kuerschner. I think Max missed his chance to double his rooks on the seventh rank on move 31.
Dec-04-11  Tigranny: Awesome king march to mate with just a king and rook.

  OhioChessFan: 32. Rc4 might have been better, but as already mentioned, White insisted on driving the Black King where he wanted to go.
Jul-30-14  estrick: Maybe the best king march ever!
Sep-05-18  jabinjikanza: Good play Mr tarrasch.
Sep-05-18  sudoplatov: Tarrasch using two Knights to dominate two Bishops in an open position, Nimzovich was two years old at the time.
Jun-25-21  YoungEd: Agreed with <estrick>! Great king march! I never would have found that plan!

Very cold blooded play. Here;

First glance results in you thinking the Black King must be getting mated...a perpetual at the very least.

Coming up with the idea of getting the King to f2, saccing the Knight (with check!) playing Kf1 and 0-1 was brilliant chess.
