  Honza Cervenka: 12....Nxd5 was necessary. After 13.Qxd5 Nb4 14.Qxa8 Bb7 15.Qxf8+ Kxf8 16.Be2 white is better but the result is still open.

I was thumbing through my 300 games a few days ago. I see I had scribbled a note with the same line as yours about 20 years ago. It's headed with Bxh2+ (to save the loss of a pawn) then I've looked deeper and changed my mind and saw the exchange sac.

Tarrasch does not mention these possibilities, he adds just one note after 16 pointing out a win if 16...Ne5.

It's inclusion (I think) is just another example of how fragile a ruined castled position can be.
