Kibitzer's Corner
Mar-22-07  Autoreparaturwerkbau: 20...d5! Opens d-file and creates nice attack. To be honest i don't understand 23.Rg3.
Mar-22-07  shalgo: 23.Rg3 looks like desperation.

Black was threatening 23...Re1+ 24.Rxe1 Rxe1+ 25.Qxe1 Qxg2# as well as 23...Re2 24.Qf1 Rxg2+

23.g3 fails to 23...Nh3+, forking the queen.

Jun-26-09  just a kid: I think White played passive in this game.

jnpope: This is given in «"A Selection of Games at Chess Actually Played in London by the Late Alexander M'Donnell, Esq.", 1836, p132» as being game 5 of the 1831 match with Fraser.

It also ends with "25. K. to B. and loses the game".
