tpstar: In "Starting Out: The Sicilian" John Emms gives the move order 7. f3 0-0 8. Qd2 Nc6 9. Bc4 Bd7 10. 0-0-0 Rc8 11. Bb3 Ne5 12. h4 Nc4 13. Bxc4 Rxc4 14. h5 Nxh5 and finally back in sync with 15. g4 Nf6. He may have taken some liberties for teaching purposes, yet there are several ways for both sides to transpose into this critical position:

Now 16. Bh6!? should be met by 16 ... Nxe4! 17. Qe3! Rxc3 18. bxc3 Nf6 19. Bxg7 Kxg7 unclear (Emms). Opening Explorer Instead 16 ... Bxh6? loses quickly to White's instant Kingside attack.

Jan-01-08  Cactus: <cg.com> This may be an 'Early Deviations', but it transposes into the Old Main Line. Though I certainly could be wrong!
Oct-22-09  Elrathia Kingi: I'm reading Emms' book right now, and both the move order and the name are slightly different. The book attributes it to "P.Lee." I'm glad someone already made the connection.

Incidentally, my favorite thing about this site is that I can play through games in chess books without having to set up a board or get confused with notation. Thanks, Chessgames!

Aug-16-14  Plof Kraak: The first diagram in Emm's book is the same as P.N. Lee played in the same year (1964). Also with a slight move order change. The move order in Emm's book is the same as the favorite Dragon line in Fritz.
