  An Englishman: Good Evening: Way back in my playing days, White's Knight sacrifice in this line of From's Gambit was one of the few remaining great uncharted swamps of opening theory, a line so obscure that no one studied it. However, Black's defense from 12...Bb4+ onward looks effective indeed. If 19.d5!? (19...f4!?) doesn't work, this swamp has been drained.

  FSR: Yes, 12...Bb4+! is supposed to be the key theoretical move that busts 6.Ng5?!
Nov-23-09  hedgeh0g: Indeed. It's not often that you see the bishop check along one diagonal being used as a clearance for the Queen on the other diagonal!

It takes some guts to play the White side of the From, that's for sure.
