Kibitzer's Corner
Feb-03-15  zydeco: Clutch performance by Larsen -- taking first place in the tournament with this last-round win.

The cool 26.g3 begins a counterattack. (I probably would have played 26.h3 without hesitation.)

Cute tactics with 32....Rxg3+ and 36.Ra4!

In the final position, the black rook runs out of squares on the d-file. 50....Rd6 51.Bc5.

49....Bd4 (or 49....Bd2) loses to 50.Ke2 Bxe3 51.Kxd1.

Feb-03-15  perfessor: <In the final position, the black rook runs out of squares on the d-file. 50....Rd6 51.Bc5> 51.... Rd2+ is now available.
Feb-03-15  perfessor: I'm thinking 50....Rd6 51. Kf3 creates the strong threat of Rb6 followed either by promotion, or mate on h6.
Feb-03-15  zydeco: I guess it's just 50....Rd6 51.Bb6.
Jul-07-19  N.O.F. NAJDORF: I can't understand why Larsen didn't play 46 g6

e.g.

46 ... Kf8
47 Bh6+ Kg8
48 Rb8++
