Honza Cervenka: Great battle. Optimistic Larsen pressed for win too hard falling on his own sword in the end. 57.Kf1 was a mistake. After 57.Kh1 black must agree with draw by perpetual given by him (Qxh3+, Qg3+ etc.) or by opponent (for example 57...Rb7 58.Rh5+ Kg8 59.Qd5+ Rbf7! 60.Qa8+ Rf8 61.Qd5+ etc.).
Jun-28-13  jerseybob: Honzo's right about 57.Kf1? versus 57.Kh1!. Interesting because Larsen seemingly saw the whole sequence up to black's 56th when he played 49.Qd5 instead of Qc2. He lost another game in this tourney through over-optimism, against Fischer. And a great trench warfare performance from Matanovic.

perfidious: One might have thought Larsen was playing Black in this game, with all the play against his opponent's weaknesses.

A hard fight and Larsen's only loss in eight games with Matanovic post-1960, after opening their account with a ledger of 0-2.
