Kibitzer's Corner
Oct-14-15  fispok: What a spectacular Bishop sac; it turns out that white's position is completely sound, and that to prevent multiple awful things must push some material under the pawnroller.
Oct-15-15  Murky: Good find, fispok. But after analyzing the bishop sac for half an hour, I don't think it's sound. After 24. Bd4 cxd4 25. cd4 R(5)e7, I can't find anything good for White. There is some play with 26. c5 dc5 27. d6 Rd7 28. Re2 (guarding h2) with a threat of Qb3 (check) and Ng5, but it's not convincing. Does anybody have the Chess Informants for 1978? I'd love to see the annotations giving some sort of justification for 24. Bd4. So far it just looks unsound to me.
