Kibitzer's Corner
Aug-16-04  Rowson: A fantastic Queen trap by Rowson in this match.
Aug-16-04  tomh72000: Is it pure coincidence that you are also called Rowson?
Aug-17-04  Rowson: Well no... My name is also J.Rowson but my family moved to Australia from the U.K in the 50's but i am related to Johnathan and he is my chess hero!
Aug-17-04  tomh72000: A hero for me too really, because I am from the UK myself.
Aug-17-04  offramp: The chess generation that began with Miles did play uncompromising chess; that may have been the reason behind Short's stupid Najdorfs in 1993.

fredthebear: According to Wikipedia, Rowson's peak rating of 2599 was achieved in July 2005, when he was ranked number 139 in the world.

He had quite a reputation as a chess writer. Some of his games are deserving of a bit more attention.
