Feb-06-09  rjsolcruz: The opening was played by 2 10-yr olds Mat de Leon vs Rhal Sol Cruz at La Salle Green Hills in July 2008 in the PRADA/PAYA Selection Tournament for the Grade School Chess Team. For the complete record of moves and some bookish analysis, go to juniorchessgames.blogspot.com
Jun-02-12  estrick: Looks like the great Anderssen blundered a piece with 25 ...Ba6
Jun-02-12  estrick: It also seems that 15 ...f6 and 16 ...c6 created holes and weaknesses in his position which Paulsen exploited very well.
Apr-09-19  dannygjk: 1877 They both must have been about 100 years old.Is the year correct?

Their combined age was just over 100, I think. Yes, the year is correct. As you can verify by clicking on their names at the top of the page, Anderssen was born in 1818 and died in 1879, and Paulsen was born in 1833 and died in 1891.
