May-27-08  whiteshark: Who said the French Exchange variation is boring? An interesting fight came up with imbalanced material: ♖ vs ♙♙♙♙

I would have prefered <28...cxd5>

but than <29.Qc8+ Kg7 30.Qc3+> looks drawish. But after 7 games of their match Potter was (-2 =5 +0) behind and took the riskier <28...Qxd5>.

Jul-24-09  morphynoman2: Nice endgame. White wins easily with 61. Kxf3! because 60... Ke5? is a blunder. After the correct move, 60... Ke7, Fritz 11 evaluation gives a winning position for white. However, I think it's practically impossible to avoid the draw.
